Georgian PM, Hungarian Ambassador review deepening cooperation

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday reviewed the “deepening cooperation” between Georgia and Hungary in trade, economy, energy, education and culture with Anna Mária Sikó, the Ambassador of Hungary to Georgia.

Kobakhidze thanked the Hungarian Government for its “active support” for Georgia in the international arena, noting the “historic decision” of Georgia being granted the European Union membership candidate status in December had “clearly confirmed” the progress made by his country on the path of European integration.

The Georgian Prime Minister said he hoped Hungary would continue to support Georgia, especially as the country was preparing to “move to a new stage” and open accession talks with the bloc, the Government’s press office said.
